Why is breastfeeding awesome?

We asked our families to tell us why breastfeeding is awesome, and why it is important to them.  Here's what they said!

  • I feel close to my baby and I know that he is getting all the benefits he needs to grow stronger

  • It makes me happy how I am able to use my body to help my baby continue to grow after giving birth

  • It’s the most essential milk for my baby to be healthy. It also provides a very special bonding between my child and I. Breastfeeding is not only good for my baby, but also for my own body/health.

  • I dreamt of the day I could breastfeed my own child. Although it didn’t come so naturally for us, I was able to breastfeed my daughter for 8 months long. It took a lot of hard work, determination and patience, but I am so grateful that I was able to feed my child with my own body. The bond you experience with your child through breastfeeding is absolutely amazing.

  • Bonding with my baby and enjoying the natural nutrition he gets

  • My baby feeds and we bond at the same time

  • My baby gets everything he needs from me and creates such an intense bond.

  • It’s a bond I get to have with my child that no other can have. And there’s this closeness that you feel that is hard to explain. There is no other feeling like it!

  • Is good for the long term health of my baby and me

  • Because it provides the necessary amounts of vitamins, carbohydrates, hormones, nutrients and the best antibodies that my baby needs for its development and growth.

  • It is special and important because at the same time that I feed him, I can share time, hug him, talk with him, it is something very beautiful

We are now requiring in person appointments for children over 2 years old for whom we need height, weight, and hemoglobin data.
