There is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition and health.  Its important to fuel our bodies at every age and eat with the environment in mind. Practice gratitude for your body by giving it the fuel it needs with sustainable foods!

Try to do the following during National Nutrition Month

Eat with the environment in mind!

  • Enjoy more plant-based meals and snacks

  • Purchase foods with minimal packaging

  • Buy foods in season and shop locally

  • Start a  garden to grow food at home


 Plan your meals each week

  • Plan a grocery list with healthy foods

  • Choose healthy recipes

  • Plan healthy foods when on the go

Eat a variety of foods from all food groups

  • Include your favorite cultural foods

  • Eat foods in various forms, including fresh, frozen, canned and dried

  • Avoid fad diets

  • Give your body the fuel it needs


Talk to your WIC nutritionist

  • We offer personalized nutrition advice

  • Nutrition advice during pregnancy

  • We discuss your child’s growth

We are now requiring in person appointments for children over 2 years old for whom we need height, weight, and hemoglobin data.
